Somehow my computer decided that when it hibernates, I must select which user I am before it awakes. It didn't use to do this, it just woke up, yawned, stretched, and was ready to go. Now I have to tell it that I am the only user of record, which it should know, and then it wakes up. How do I put it back so I don't have to continually select...

This probably isn't the right forum to ask this question, considering the only similarity it has is Windows XP. I have an AVI file, encoded in Divx, around 200mb in size. I want to add high quality subtitles to this AVI. I bought Adobe Premiere Elements to do so, and, thanks to my lack of research, later found that it (Adobe Premier...

I'm having a major problem with an ASP application. Our ASP code has been migrated from NT4 (IIS4.0) to a Win2003 (IIS6.0) server. However, there seems to be a problem with the VB scripts. Whenever a VB function is called I get a Runtime Error "Object Expected". These are client-side scripts so I cant see how having a different server is...

I have a .bat file in Windows that I am writing. It will copy some DLLs to a directory on the user's machine and register them. I was thinking it might be good to check whether the DLL is already there and registered, before copying over and registering. Is that possible? Could anyone help me out? I have been browsing on Google, but not been...

I suspect the magnetic lid switch, but I do not know if it is on the motherboard and not replaceable or is part of a daughteboard. Any other ideas...
