Find Hard-Drive name in Vista

Markus

I'm in need of finding the name of the harddrive. I'm running Vista. It's not a secondary one that I've installed, but the default one that came installed with Vista. I have googled, but nothing conclusive appeared.

Thanks.

Hello,

Do you need to know the name of manufacturer (and probably it's model number) of hard drive?
I had never tried this on Vista but I think that Everest Ultimate edition will list all hardware information about your PC. But then, I dont know whether Everest is supported on Vista or not......

Hope this helps......

Hello,

Oh....I forgot to link to Everest Ultimate Edition. Here's the link to official website. Everest is not free but it's trial version will fulfill your requirements.

Hope this helps.......... .

The below code does what I need it to do, but I thought that using something like ext = os.path.splitext(fname) and then searching ext for '.mp3' would be a much more accurate approach to solving this problem. Could someone demonstrate how to search ext for a specific string? This script works great for deleting illegal music on user machines ;) Thanks!!!

Hello, Can anybody have idea as how to find it there exist consective one's in a word/dword using bitwise operatiors in C language. Obviously this can be done by shifting and looping one by one; but there must be some faster way of doing it. The thing I want is to define some masks and macros and find if there are consective ones on a word/dword. e.g. 0000b has no consective

This message isn't spam or an advertisement or trolling. I'm considering farming some of my application development to offshore shops (I'm in the US). I have absolutely *no* experience w/ this, and therefore I'm looking for comments, suggestions, etc. on how to go about this w/o getting screwed. My current application development is primarily database-driven apps in C++/C#, so I'm looking for programmers w/ up-to-date skills.

I suspect the answer to this question is that it's impossible, but how do I make the below code work, at the point where it breaks (marked below). See error CS0411 This is the complete code. Copy and paste it into VS2008 for a Windows Forms application. With some effort I can do the job with a user defined function, but my question is whether I can do it using the built in library function "Array.Find" and a predicate that takes...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
