Hello,
I have a few rather urgent questions that I hope someone can help with (I
need to figure this out prior to a meeting tomorrow.) First, a bit of
background: The company I work for is developing a web-based application,
one part of which involves allowing the user the ability to page through
transaction "history" information.
The _summary_ history table will have the following fields: ServiceName,
Date, User-Ref1, User-Ref2,...

Hello all.
I was wondering if creating classes could be dynamic. I want to know if I
can make a class Person, then read in a list of names (say people's names)
so then I can have a class instance created for each name in the list?
Why do I want to do this? I was just thinking if I had a name on the
list, Dave, I could then be able to read the name in the list, and assign
Maria.birthday = <> and all the other attributes I would want to...

How can I run a single SP by asking multiple sales question either
by using the logical operator AND for all the questions; or using
the logical operator OR for all the questions. So it's always
either AND or OR but never mixed together.
We can use Northwind database for my question, it is very similar
to the structure of the problem on the database I am working on.
IF(SELECT OBJECT_ID('REPORT')) IS NOT NULL
DROP TABLE REPORT_SELECTION

I know it is possible to store dynamic propterties for applications in XML
files. The app.config and the web.config files can be used to store
AppSettings... I am just wondering how far one can go with this technique.
In my case, what I am interested in doing is to store information about
reports and report parameters that I might want to use in an XML file.
Ideally I'd like to get to the point answer and respond to the following...

I am VERY new to C++ (1st semester) put not so new to coding and
programming (SQL, VB, etc). We are learning about classes.
I have a program that needs to call many instances (i think this is the
right term) of a class.
What I have been taught so far is to write to a class we would do
something like this in the main.cpp:
a1.setmanSalary(something);

Hi,
I am designing a ASP.NET 2.0 front end for an activity based costing model
and am interested in getting some general guidance on what design route to
take. I can work out the specifics but need to make sure I am going down the
right track. In particular I am unsure whether a gridview will do the job
required.
Quick intro of the activity based costing model: it splits costs first
across activities then across products, e.g.:

Hi. I have a c++ project that is basically a set of implementation
hiding classes, so that we can convert a static lib with a lot of
dependancies into a dynamic lib with less dependancies, so that users
of the lib dont require all the development tools we used to develop
the lib.
I have noticed something strange, and was wondering if its a C++
feature, or a implementation specific bug.
I have a function like this:

ONU (Optical Network Unit) is one of the key components for providing high-speed Internet services. Its primary function is to act as an endpoint device located at the user's premises. However, people are often confused as to whether an ONU can Work As a Router. In this blog post, we’ll explore What is ONU, What Is Router, ONU & Router’s main usage, and What is the difference between ONU and Router. Let’s take a closer look !

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
