I am wanting to create a web application which will use Microsoft Exchange
Server. We currently use Exchange 2000 but if i needed it we would upgrade
to 2003.
Is 2003 going to provide easyer programming with C# (and DotNet in general)
than 2000? If so i will wait a bit longer.

First let me say I know almost nothing about Exchange, so if I say incorrect
things about it, forgive me ;)
What I need to do is, connect to the local Exchange server and monitor all
incoming email. So preferably an event is raised when an email enters the
queue.
Is this possible? I've downloaded the Exchange 2000 SDK, but to be honest, I
couldn't find any good samples there. Is there a tutorial somewhere on how

I want to apologize if this is the wrong forum for this question.
I would like to write an application, in Java running on UNIX, that
would insert, read, and mark as completed tasks in exchange.
What is the best approach for this? Is the answer to write a web service
using C# and then call it from Java? Does OWA already provide a set of
web services for something like this? If so is there WSDL to go with it?

I have used System.Web.Mail, but am not sure if this works with Exchange Server 5.5. I asked the client if they're email server supported SMTP, and got the following reply (exact quote):
Exchange 5.5 uses IMS connector for communication between the internal and the external world. IMS is based on SMTP Protocol.

I have a VB.net application that will save attachments to a directory
on my local pc. I need to run this component on our exchange 2003
server and also save the attachments to a local DIR. When the
component is run on the exchange 2003 server a wizard gui is

I'm using C# + webDAV to create a draft message to be sent in a user's
Drafts folder.
I can create the message successfully, however when I open the message
in outlook, it doesn't show the 'send' button, (only 'reply' etc as if
