thanks pbmods, but i don't think this is a mouse setting problem :) it's more of a registry problem regarding opening my local harddrives as it was restricted by the worm that infected my system.

btw... i already solved my problem...i was adviced by a friend to download taga lipa are worm remover (just google it, it's a custom made worm remover) and used its automatic registry fix, and voila! problem solved :) thanks guys!

I am displaying a form with a datagrid populated from a select of database records which now exceed 12,000 when I select them all. The form displays just fine with all 12,000+ entries but when I leave the form to go back to the originating screen, I get a "The page cannot be displayed" screen for "Cannot find server or DNS Error" "Internet Explorer". You know the page - it starts with "The page you are looking for is currently...

I have a dotnet web app that opens & works fine. There's another application on the same server, in a folder below the web application. Both web apps are set up as virtual directories there and both work on the server. I am preparing to take ownership of the new project, and have tried to open it, but get the following message when I try to open it: "Unable to open web project 'myproject'. The file path

Used VB.NET (on my client PC) to convert VB6 executable to .NET executable. Placed the .exe file on a network drive on my server. From client, ran .NET Wizards "Trust an Assembly" to make the .exe (on the network drive, on the server) "Full Trust." From the client, double-click on the ..exe (on the network drive, on the server) and it runs fine. So far, so good, but... On the server, where I've installed not VB.NET but .NET

the other day i wiped a virus off my computer. Ever since then I haven't been able to just double-click my hard drives in My Computer. When i do double-click it, It opens the "open with" window. So I've just been right clicking the drive and telling it to open...that works fine. Its not really a problem just a nuisance. Anyone know what might be causing this or how to fix it? thanks

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
