Control panel disappeared from start menu

5 New Member
Hello! I am new to this site and I need your help.

I am using Windows XP. My control panel is missing from the start menu. On its place "administra tive tools" appears. Also, the task manager doesn't work when pressing ctrl+alt+del. A message saying "Task manager has been disabled by your administrator" comes up.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your early reply. I did't understand what I have to do. I don't know much of computers. I would appreciate it if you could give me a more detailed guidance. (eg. should I run "regedit.ex e" etc?)

thanks

Hello Ali
I tried the My Computer/Folder Options procedure and the problem was not fixed.

In the task manager there are the applications you mentioned (winlogon, svchost and system) following by SYSTEM and NETWORK. What does this mean?

Thanks

Actually i m researching on some of viruses in which runouce.exe and a newly born virus in which you can not display hidden files and folders. This is because of svchost virus and in such a file named sometime ravmon.exe and autoru.info is created in every drive and it cannot be deleted from disk. And it can not be scaned by any type of antivirus.
The thing you are saying that you have not see any controlpanel option in startmenu properties. This is not understandable to me.
Whatever...
I will send you a programe or some solution which will be done manually soon. be patient i have used some progrmes by the help you can show or hide the hidden files and folders.
But sorry i cannot help for showing controlpanel in startmenue if there is no option for controlpanel in startmenu properties.

I m sorry again
But i ll send you some helpful solutions for Hidden files and folders.

Hi, I have created a control which draws a title bar and provides a drop down menu for a Smart Device Application. How can I pass them back/on? I have a...
