Dynamic to static url windows server isapi sitemaps

229 New Member
Hi, Just wondering if anyone can tell me if I get my service provider on a windows 2003 platform to tweak the settings in ISAPI to turn my dynamic urls to static ones, how this affects the sitemaps I create. Do I carry on creating them as normal? will the new urls be reflected in the results? Do I in fact need to create them anymore?

Prob not an issue, just wondering if there is a knock on effect that one needs to be aware of.

Thanks for any advice.

I could not get PHP pages to display in IIS 6 with Windows 2003, using the default install of the stable binaries from php.net. Here is the solution I found. The default install registers the .php extension as belonging to c:\php\php.exe. This is correct, but it's faster to use the ISAPI extension. To do this,

I have an application that is ISAPI and the only way to secure it is through NT permissions. I need to have a way to login to windows authentication so that when I get to the ISAPI application no boxes come up. I want an ASP page to sit between the user and the ISAPI application. The rest of my application is using authentication that is database driven and wouldn't want the users to know the userid and password. Is this possible? If so...

Hi, I have a C++ app which needs to work with a server on a remote machine. The manufacturer has given us a set of DLL's which provide API calls to send requests to the server and receive an information feed from it. My app is compiled under Micro$oft VS.NET 2003 with option /MT to statically link in the C runtime libraries msvcrt.lib etc. My app has to store information from the server and answer requests from many remote clients. These...

I have noticed something disturbing when retrieving datasets over a relatively slow line (multiple T1). I am looking at about 25 seconds to retrieve 500 rows via a php-odbc link. This same select from the cli is for all intents practicaly instantaneous. After much research I discovered that PHP by default uses a dynamic cursor type which can be quite a bit slower than a forward only cursor. BTW I have been searching forward only/read...

Hi, I have a website that uses an ISAPI filter that will redirect anyone going to any page on the site to an SSL login page (on a different website with the same root domain) if they do not have the appropriate session cookie already. After logging in on that page successfully they are given the cookie and redirected back to the page they initially tried to go to. I would like to create a Windows application that gets data from that...

I am trying to remove dependence on the frameworks custom error mechanisms to get a site to work with google sitemaps, because they framework does a redirect 302 to the errorpage. Instead I am doing server.transfers from the applicaiton_error event. This seems to work fine except for in the case of 404 errors. Is there any way to do a server.transfer from application_error on a 404 error?

Hello Guys and Galls, To start off, I have reached the solution I was looking for, but I would like comments and feedback on the solution I have reached and tips/tricks on making it more elegant. I am not satisfied with the underlying machinery of the solution though. I am an advanced C programmer and most do object-based programming in C++. Please do not reply to this article with references to basic material or obvious tips. An...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
