It must be possible somehow, some of the Windows XP standard background picktures have it that way... I don't know, how they do it however.

Guys, The default way of the background color should be transparent, right?
I don't know, how It came like this.but as I remember some thing related to "Copy to clipboard" makes it. Sounds crazy?
Anyway this is not a big issue, but there should be a solution to make it transparent.

Yes, the default is transparent. I've looked every place that I can think of (including Tweak UI), but can't find such a setting. Is it really true that all of the icons on your desktop look like that, or is it just the selected one?

OK do as i say
Go to system properties
Open Advanced Tab

Check all of the checkboxes and see the result the background will vanished.
Try only checking "Smooth edges of screen fonts"

All the names on my desktop Shortcuts, folders, Files are like this.

I can't seem to get my head around the Visual Studio's Deployment Projects: I want the user, at install-time, to be able to specify if they want a icon placed on the desktop or not (I'm trying to use Checkboxes(A)). Seemingly you can just place the Checkbox1Property Name into the User's Desktop Condition but that does not work. I actually saw an article that highlighted this process as "the way to do it", so I downloaded the source and...

When I first deployed my project, I set up the File System>User's Desktop to display a shortcut to MyProgam.exe When install completed from setup.exe the shortcut was there, and selecting it started MyProgram. No problems. I have since been editing various things, and in the latest build (I don't have any idea what I might have changed), but now after install completes

I have developed a Windows application in Visual Studio .NET 2003 and created a Setup project for it. In the File System Editor I have added a shortcut to the User's Desktop folder to point to the application once it has been installed. I have added a condition to the User's Desktop named "DESKTOPSHORTCUT" (I have used several names, this is just the latest). In the User interface, I have added a screen with a checkbox that asks the user...

Hi: I'm using the following script to find a shortcut with a specific string in it. In the code below the example is the word "font" My problem is that this code looks everywhere EXCEPT the individual users desktop - it does find all of the shortcuts in All Users, but not in specific users. I am executing the code AS the user whose desktop I need to search so there shouldn't be a security issue. I have to write a small routine to add...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
