Outlook Offline Folders Settings Missing

My workstation at work is a Windows 2000 Server with Terminal Services as I need to connect into it remotely (Pre XP - much easier nowadays). I'm also using Outlook 2000. I'm migrating all my users onto a new Exchange Server 2003 box and have decided to use Offline Storage with the Mailbox directly. This is instead of the earlier approach of using PSTs (Our old Exchange 5.5 box was once lucky to escape being eaten by a T Rex). Space on that Exchange Server was at an extreme premium.
Anyway, my problem is that the option to configure Offline Storage is simply not there! I've searched the web and all the articles (M$ & elsewhere), simply state to go to the Advanced tab (Outlook 2000 / Tools / Services / Microsoft Exchange Server / Properties) and there it will be at the bottom. My problem is that it simply isn't there. The rest of the stuff is there, but it's missing! Not greyed out or disabled in any other way, just missing.
Any light on this problem (I appreciate that it's not basic Windows and there may be no-one with this specific experience) would be greatly appreciated.

Panic over!
A colleague of mine (better at finding things on the web than I am) found this article in the M$ Knowledge Base (Windows 2000 Terminal Services Does Not Support Outlook Offline Storage). It describes this situation perfectly. Unfortunately, there seems to be nothing that points to this unless you already know. Zéro Points to M$ for this very well hidden bit of information.

I have an Outlook 2003 using Exchange Server 2003 Public Contacts Folder containing 20,000 Contacts. I am writing a VB .Net 2003 program that loops through all the contacts in a "for each oCt in oItems" loop. After about 250 contacts, the program gives an InvalidCastException Error on the for each loop. I notice that Outlook's memory keeps increasing (using the task manager) until it reaches around 20,000K. When I run the program a second...

After upgrading from Outlook 2000 to the 2003 object model, some of my Outlook automation code no longer functions. For example, in 2000, I used to be able to loop through a list of .Items in a folder and refer to each as .Item(n) Say for example, my folder contained MailItem and PostItem -- I could treat each differently by casting .Item(n) differently.

My C#.NET console app checks a public folder every 24 hours for incoming emails. For each unread email in the folder, it copies any attachments to the network, then loads the contents of these files into a SQL Server database, and marks the email as read. My problem is that in the loop that checks for all the Unread emails in the folder, as I spin through the loop, the number of unread items is being reset for every iteration. So...

I had a hard drive failure and had to re-load Microsoft Office XP. When I first loaded, I had no data files so I imported my pst files from my old hard drive and now I have double of everything and it's very confusing. It appears that I have one set of imported folders that were created in the folders initially created when I reloaded Office XP and now most of my old data is in these folders as well. I did a test send email to myself...

I have tried scripting this with rules and VBA, now trying with C# but still failing. (code is exploratory, so please excuse the terribleness) maybe someone here will show me the error of my code... sending an email by hand - everything works as expected (rules, VBA, etc are all applied). sending an email from code (C#, external VBA, etc) has the messages saving in Sent Items regardless of any other settings or configurations (up to...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
