B: [note] Good burning software should let you "preview" your work before burning in to videoCD/DVD. Media is getting pretty cheap, but not so inexpensive that you want to go around make final cuts of c**p.

I tried installing my VS2005 Pro on Vista Ultimate 32 bit RTM today and got errors stating that VS2005 was not compatible with Vista. Microsoft......please pull your finger out of my ass and tell me this is a joke. It must be a joke....because I also have read that VS2002 and VS2003 will not be supported on Vista. This clearly violates Microsoft's own terms of support for these products.

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone out there is aware of any .NET CD/DVD burning component. I'm really just interested in burning files to CD/DVD do I don't care about MP3/MPEG-2 support or anything like that. What I basically need is the ability to put files and folders onto the CD/ DVD. Ideally it would work on IOStreams so that I could do it all in memory with MemoryStream's. Some of the things I would like but are not necessary:

Hi, I am looking for a way to burn CDs from VB.NET application. I have found a lot of posts asking about that but the links provided are mostly dead. There is IMAPI but as far as I know, it is not easy to use with VB.NET. So I am looking for a library or any method that will allow me to burn CDs including burning multiple copies of one CD.

Hi all, I've been struggling with an issue that I hope you can comment on or provide suggestions to. Our .NET 2.0 (VS2005) based product is crashing (when the user selects a particular feature on the UI) on Vista. It works fine on XP. In a nutshell: - user makes a selection on the UI - System.Reflection.MethodInfo.Invoke() calls into one of our .NET library dlls - Inside the library dll, System.Activator.CreateInstance() is called

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
