What headers to I have to know about to build thread trees from Unix
mailboxes?
Is it enough to get the In-Reply-To header for each message and build a
dictionary of { Message-ID: message } pairs? Or is it more complicated
than that?
If there isn't already a module to do this (and apologies if there is
one and I don't know about it), are the current tools of choice the
'email' and 'mailbox' modules? (And I guess I'd want to use the...

I've been searching around for the equivalent to the mailbox module
except with the capability of writing messages as well as reading. If
it makes it easier, I only need to write to maildir mailboxes.
I found a reference to http://pythonms.sf.net/ Python mail system) but
it seems to have vanished.
Any suggestions?

Hi All,
I need to create a daemon that sits on a server and forwards some
e-mails. (Well not only that, it needs to change header information
before forwarding and also insert messages into a database). The mailbox
module is fine but I do not see a way to delete/add messages - it is
ready only. The other possiblity is IMAP4 but it is bad because my
program should not store passwords for all users. I can only see one
solution right now:

I've got a disk that had the data files for my mysql server on it.
From these files can I rebuild the database? I didn't do backups or
anything like that, but I have the whole file system. What I was
looking to do was reinstall mysql and then somehow import those files
to recreate the database, is this possible?

I come from Oracle background. In Oracle, when one wants to do a point
in time
recovery, one can specify recover database until timestmap. Oracle's
database maps to a db2 subsystem, i.e., in Oracle database means
entire database, i.e.. all tablespaces (including indexes).
I see only recover tablespace and recover indexspace (or index)
commands in db2.
Therefore, one has to specify all the tablespaces and indexspaces and
recover them
