Hello group, I'm trying to write code to test an application we're developing. This application needs to store its own performance data in the registry, and we'd like to be storing quite a large amount of performance data and updating it fairly quickly. Not surprisingly, we keep coming up with more and more performance data we'd like to...

Hi, I've been working with the EIF for a few days now. One of the default event sinks provided is the WMI. I've played around a bit and can send events to the WMI. My question here centers on performance counters and the WMI. Is there any way to increase a performance counter in the WMI through the EIF or am I barking up the wrong tree...

Hi... We're looking at moving an ASP app from IIS 5 to IIS 6. In general things seem to be working okay, but there are some oddities around the edges. One of those unanticipated changes has to do with the new process model and the option to have more than one worker process per web instance. We found that each worker process has its own...

Hi, I've got an application that executes System.Diagnostics.Process.GetProcessesByName(name) This can potentially throw InvalidOperationException if performance counters for the process object are not enabled. Is there a way to check if a specific performance counter is enabled before I make this call?

I am trying to monitor the performance of the ASP.NET applications using the Performance Counters. However, when I add them to my performance monitor they all show zero all the time. I added all the counters under ASP.NET, ASP.NET Applications, ASP.NET 1.1.4322, and ASP.NET Apps 1.1.4322, but all of them are zero. If I add a performance...

Hi everyone, I posted this question to a yahoo group a while back but no one was able to figure out my problem... I really want to get this fixed, so I'll repost the message here: I'm trying to look at performance counter data (any category, any counter) via an aspx page that I'm writing, but almost all of the samples come back as zero.

Hi Has anybody had any experience of ASP.Net performance counters not updating. In the performance monitor application when I try to add the groups ASP.NET and ASP.NET Applications the counters all show 0. In addition, ASP.NET Applications does not show any of the ASP.NET instances that are running on the computer. The other counters...

I have a .Net web service (written for 1.1 Framework using C#) running on Windows 2003 with all latest patches. To help monitor the service, the code creates several performance counters. One server (this is a farm) I receive the following exception when trying to create the performance counters. We had an earlier issue where the ASPNET user...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention.
