hello, i have a grid with a date of birth coloumn which i edited in the dataFormatString to show only date/month/year, but wen i debug my web app it only shows the date/0/year...the month does not appear (e.g 7/0/2012)any help?

In your example, you show the 7th month, 0 day and 2012th year. Unless this is some other standard, the month goes 1st; but you say the month does not appear. If your confused, or if I'm confused, I thought the "short date" should be in this order -- month/day/year. Are you using a culture setting of en-US?
