Hi John!

Web pages are stored on web servers, normally HTTP servers. These web servers can be anywhere in the world - even your own computer could be setup as a web server. Read on Wikipedia to find out more.

Greetings,

Hi John and welcome!

You ask an exciting question that can potentially take you on a lifetime of learning and play. But before I offer my answer to your question, please allow me a moment to share with you a pre-requisite knowledge, far more useful and far more present on this site and the net.

You see, a member (code name: Nepomuk)already offered an answer to your post prior to me finding it. At this point, it's up to me, a second answer-er to write in reply: not just a COMPLETLY DIFFERENT answer to the first one but also disparaging comments about Nepomuk, his mental ability and flowed logic.

Such of Comments must be short but painful, to count! Substance is of no consequence but humor is. (Example: You can submit how member's head is a HTML server; pointless yet provocative; 10 points)
Good luck in developing your own style! (Losers go for low hanging fruit of -isms!!!)

Hi John,
Please don't let previous comment to confuse you. The member writing it is a conspiracy nut always bringing in "HTML servers" into conversations.

Web pages, as everything else needing storage, are stored in STORAGE as hard drives, flash drives, punch cards. The storage location depends widely on the website.

As usual, Chipmunk is incorrectly pointing you to (fake) research site, when the right way to point you further is one of the free, template based website builders. See it for yourself, play with it other kids and avoid Nepomuk (and his g-ma's basement)

Take care and come back!

A web server's primary use is to deliver web pages to any electronic device capable of interfacing with the web server, which means that the particular device must be connected to the Internet and have the appropriate software installed. Web pages compose websites.
