Visual Basic problems

1 New Member
Hello - I am not a programmer, but I am not sure where else to turn to for help. I work for a court and have been assigned a job that involves using a macro. I download information from our court software to Word document to use as a header, and often have 200 or more pages that we send out in letter form.

I have done quite bit of reading on the internet about macros, but nothing addresses my problem. I have my macro created but continually have problems with it not working on every page. Usually the first 2 or 3 work, but then it pulls info I didn't ask for or leaves info I need out. So I end up having to do a lot of manual fixing which takes a very long time.

I would so appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction, I have called our help desk, but they have not been any help.

Thank you

Hi. The only way anyone can help here is if you post the code. I am not sure if you want to do that given the privacy needed for your job. You should change any words that you don't want to publish.

Tell us exactly what you want the macro to do and what it is not doing

I concur.

However, something else to consider - Word has facilities built in for handling things like mailing lists and form letters. It may be that you don't need to write a macro at all.
