Help Sending newsgroups with vb6

Hi

I have been writing an application that allows you to post to newsgroups
however, I have reached a brick wall because
according to http://anreg.cpe.ku.ac.th/rfc/rfc850.html you require certain
compulsory information to be sent such as
Relay-Version, Posting-Version, From, Date, Newsgroups, Subject,
Message-ID, Path.
does any one know where you get the Relay-Version,
Posting-Version,Message-ID information from.

Any help would really be appreciated

Email reply accepted at wh***@whirl.org.uk

Thank you..

You're referring to an obsoleted RFC. Use RFC 1036 instead.
Relay-Version and Posting-Version are no longer required, and are in
fact obsoleted. Look at the headers of any message posted here, and
you won't find Relay-Version and Posting-Version headers.

I don't think an NNTP client application is required to generate a
Message-ID header; the news server is responsible for generating
unique IDs, and the appropriate Message-ID headers.
