I'm using MS .Net Version 7, using VB .Net working on a "simple" web page.
All I want to do is display a messagebox. I tried using Messagebox.Show,
and get an error that Messagebox has not been declared. I tried using
MsgBox (like we used in VB 6) but this throws application errors every time
I run it I get the error "It is in valid to show a modal or form when the
application is not running in UserInteractive mode. Specify the...

Although I have used the code below to suppress the DoCmd cancel
action message from appearing on lots of other actions such as preview
and print, I have not been able to get to work on a BeforeUpdate Event
Procedure. There is nothing elaborate about the event, however, there
is an initial message box stating that if one field contains data then
a second one must also, and then after clicking okay, the
DoCmdMenuItem action box is...

propeties properly. But I have some problem in displaying custom validation
message.
I have integer type property. When I give invalid values for the property it
is throwing System exception as follows.
"Invalid Property Value. Is not a valid value for Int32.
Though I have custom validation message in the Property set system throws
exception before this.

OK this has me perplexed, puzzled and bamboozled!
I have a remoting service which I displayed a message box in. I then
wondered what would happen if a client made a call to the service
while the message box was being displayed. Since the call comes in on
a different thread the client call was not blocked. This seemed to
make sense to me.
Next I thought, what will happen when the client calls into the server
if I try to use a delegate...

Hello, I have a weird problem with my Visual Basic. The text in list boxes,
buttons and message boxes are missing when I run the program. Everything
looks fine at design time but somewhere when I actually run it things
disappear. Any else ever seen this or know how to resolve it?
(btw, I did check the font and that's ok. If I start a brand new windows
application the same problem exists there too)

I have my program set up so that when a button called "Clear" is clicked, it
clears all Yes/No fields from a seperate table. The problem is that when
that button is clicked, it is coming up with 2 seperate message boxes making
sure that is what they want to do. The first one says: "are you sure you
want to run that query", and the second says "You are about to update 1 row".
Is there a way to code this so those message boxes are either...

Hi,
I am wondering why the .NET Framework is quite different from Win32 API when
it comes to displaying system modal message boxes.
Consider the four following types of system modal message boxes (please see
associated source code below):
1) Win32 API with context ("btnWin32WithContext_Click")
2) .NET Framework with context ("btnFrameworkWithContext_Click")
3) Win32 API withOUT context ("btnWin32WithOUTContext_Click")

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
