Display results of worksheetfuncti on in textbox on userform?

11 New Member
Hi...
I'd like to display the results of a formula on a userform to alert users that certain operations are still in progress.

Essentially, when the user clicks a button to compile results from 28,000+ api calls, the form will display with the formula results (which I'd prefer not to have in a cell on the worksheet) and options to proceed with partial results, or to cancel the operation and wait for a period of time.

It works with the textbox1_change method, but not when the form is first displayed. Is that do-able?

I'm using Excel 2007 on Windows XP.

Here's what I have in the userform code:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Private Sub TextBox1_change()
  2. TextBox1.Value = WorksheetFunction.CountIf(Worksheets("Comparisons").Range("F:F"), "*Requesting*")
  3. End Sub
  4.
None of the other methods (excuse misuse of the term) seem to do it either!

Thanks for any help.

I'd like to use the Excel.WorksheetFunction library to compute median and percentiles in a user-defined function. I'd like to use the data from the calling report as the function argument. Example: The report's Record Source is a query that fetches salaries from a database, "SELECT JobID, JobTitle, BaseSalary ORDER BY JobTitle". The report groups BaseSalary by JobTitle.

I'd like to reference the number in the text box in the module called Engine by using the following statement Dim num as Double num = Form1.TextBox1.Value However, I can not see the TextBox1 after I finish typing "Form1". I have a form. It has serveral text boxes for user data entry. I could of course write code to check if each is empty before proceeding to save this data to a file. Is there any global way to control if any of these text boxes is empty or are we really forced to do it on a one by one basis doing If....End is so many times?

I have created a userform with textboxes for data entry. I also have a command button that calls a second useform. A user enters certain information in the first useform but if he/she wants to do additional calculations, they use the command button to bring up the second userform and add additional information via textboxes in the second form. However, the calculations need the data from both userforms. Given that the variables are...

The different Validation controls like RequiredFieldValidator, RangeValidator etc. have a property named Display. This property can have 3 values - Dynamic, Static & None. What's the difference between the Dynamic Display & Static Display? Also suppose a Form has 2 TextBoxes & both the TextBoxes have the RequiredFieldValidator. The Form has a Button as well. <form runat="server"> First Name: <asp:TextBox ID="txtFName" runat="server"/>

I am using a selection_change event on a worksheet to launch a userform that will populate the cell when a selection is made from a drop down list box on the form. Selection_change shows form if cell to the left of the active cell meets a certain condition and the active cell is in column 8. Problem: when conditions warrant, selection_change shows userform. when executed Excel locks. VBA editor indicates code is running but form can not be...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
