msaccess report output to word inconsistency

3 New Member
I maintain a reporting database and all of the users can output a report to word just fine, but when one user outputs the report to word the report doesn't include all of the data. When she views the report in Access she can see all of the data, but when she outputs the report to word some of the data is missing. I checked her references and we have the same references, but she has a newer version of two references. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Jason

Yes I know it can't be done in an editable form - well maybe not. Assuming I have a report textbox with CanShrink and CanGrow set to yes, is ther any way of calculating the length the textbox will grow to in order to accomodate the text. If so is this done OnFormat or OnPrint Thanks Phil

At this moment I use MsAccess and i can build about every databound application i want. Who knows about a serious open source alternative? Because Windows will be a client platform for some time, i prefer a solution that (also) supports Windows. On the net I found a number of products that i looked at, but none of them gave me the impression of a serious candidate at this moment (KNoda, Gnome DB Manager, InterBase...). 2 additional...

tblCourses one to many to tblEvents. A course may have an intro workshop (a type of event), a mid course workshop, a final exam. Or any combination. Or something different in the future. At the moment the printed output is usually going to Word. It's turning into an unholy mess, because I'm having to prepare umpteen different Word templates, and the queries that drive them, depending on what events a course has.

In code I am opening a report in deign view, adding code to the report to output it to Word in an editable form. I then want t close the report but not save the changes. Is there any way or preventing the option to save changes from being displayed (the answer is always no) The "DoCmd.Close acReport, me.Name, acSaveNo" on the close event does not work TIA

Hi! I would like to export some MS-Access reports output to pdf. However, the only possibility offered by Access (afaik) for me to export formatted output is snp (snapshot) (I use MS-Office XP Prof. 2002 version). With formatted output I mean the *exactly* output I produce from executing my report (information is gathered from an ODBC database).

I am struggling with some MSAccess automation issues. Basically, we have a .Net application that uses MSAccess for reporting (legacy code). We are able to launch MSAccess fine and even work with the MSAccess COM objects to run our reports (using GetObject(<MDB Path>) - see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;317113&Product=vbNET for info on how to do this). The problem that we are running into is that if our Access...

I have an application were users evaluate records and based on the amount of money involved answer between 17 and a 120 questions on one of three response forms. I have a master list of question in one table and another that links the subset of questions to the particular form. When the user gets ready to answer the questions the app appends the questions to the answer table - all of which makes it easy to answer the questions within a...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
