how to send emails without getting security prompt

175 New Member
I'm trying to automatically send emails through VB, through Microsoft Outlook 2003, but get the security message ...

"A program is trying to automatically send e-mail on your behalf.
Do you want to allow this?"

which means, I have to be sitting at my computer at the time I want the email to "automatica lly" send.

I've searched the Internet, and all I found was software to install to fix this problem. I don't want that. I'm wondering if there is a way to programically get past this security pop-up, so I can actually schedule emails to send without waiting for my input. If not, is there something in the Registry that I can change, or any other solution for that matter (where I don't need more SW)?

I have just recently upgraded to Outlook 2003. I had a macro that simply sent out emails with a "myitem.send" statement. Instead of merely "sending" it llike I did before (under the older version), now I am prompted each and every email to "allow" it to be sent. Per the VB Help documentation "When you run a program that uses the Microsoft Outlook...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
