Recordset. Help!!

46 New Member
Hi all,

I am now using vb6 to store and get the data according to the process, machine line and machine. Let say, Line A02, process texture, machines are m1, m2 and m3. The user might store the data many times for each machine(down time, in hour). So now, I want to seperate each machine data with each machine total hour. What should I do? I am using datagrid and adodc to get the data from the MySQLserver.

Can I use many adodc for 1 datagrid?
Can I use 1recordset to sort data in many times?
I mean: filter out the m1 data, then add the total hour and place in a text box,
then, filter out the m2 data, add the hour and place in another text box,
and same as m3.

But I had tried, the recordset got debug.

Can anyone teach me about recordset? How to use it?

Please give me your hand. I need you.

Thank you.

Hi First up, I am using MS Access 2002. I have a database which records analyst rating changes for a list of companies on a daily basis. Unfortunately, the database has been set up (by my predecessor, I hasten to add) so that each day it creates a copy of the record for each company, changes the date to today's date, and prompts the user for any changes of ratings on that day. The resulting data table grows by approx 600 records per...

Missing Help Files When I enter "recordset" as the keyword and search the Visual Basic Help index, I get many topics of interest in the resulting list. But there isn't any information available from clicking on many of the available topics (mostly methods but some properties are also unavailable). This same problem occurs with many, if not most, keywords. Is there any way I can activate these "missing" help topics? HELP!

Based on a prior posting, I've written a function to convert a recordset to a dataview. The first call to the function for a given recordset works perfectly, but the second call always returns a dataview with a count = 0. Can someone explain why and how I might work around this problem? Here is the code for my function: Public Shared Function GetViewFromRS(ByVal pRS As ADODB.Recordset) _ As DataView

I am writing a web service for a classic ASP application. I need to consume an ADO recordset and then send it to another web service for processing. I found an MSDN ariticle telling how to do this (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/cpguide/html/cpconfillingdatasetwithadorecordset.asp), one big problem - it says to import ADOComponent.dll and msado15.dll. I found msado15.dll but I can't find ADOComponenet.dll,...

All, I have a ADODB.Recordset in my Access 2002 project. I've been able to successfully add fields to the record set. According the the MS Access help files, I now must update the recordset to get the field additions to "stick." For example, the code below shows how the Access help files say to append fields to a ADO recordset. dim ADO_RS as ADODB.Recordset set ADO_RS = (some other ADODB recordset) ADO_RS.Close...

Hi, I am having a problem using Dreamweaver CS3 standard recordset paging behavior. It doesn’t seem to work when I pass parameter values from a FORM on my search page, to the recordset on my results page. - Recordset Paging works if no parameters are used in the recordset sql code (ie. simple sql code): SELECT * FROM db_name WHERE (db_field1 LIKE ‘%text1%’ OR db_field2 LIKE ‘%text2%’)

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
