Excel Cell Searching/Formatting VBA

1 New Member
I don't have much experience with VB and I have found Excel's conditional formatting very limited. I need a macro that will search through all the cells and when it finds a blank cell, it needs to be filled with white. The limitations of the conditional formatting are causing all of the cells to be filled with color because it sees the number 0 as being blank. I need 0 to be shaded green (as well as other conditions having other colors), but any blank cells need to have no color. I think this can be done done with a nested for loop (for the scanning) and a statement that will change the color of that cell if it is blank.

The only thing I have been able to find on this site is how to change the color:

Cells(i, j).Interior.Col orIndex = 3

Hi Folks, I'm a brand new Python programmer, so please point me in the right direction if this is not the best forum for this question.... I would like to open an existing MS Excel spreadsheet and extract information from specific worksheets and cells. I'm not really sure how to get started with this process. I ran the COM Makepy utility from my PythonWin (IDE from ActiveSTate),

Hello, I've written an asp.net application that creates Excel documents. It works by creating an excel document in XML format. But I wonder if I'm reinventing the wheel. I know that there are ways to read and write Excel files with ADO, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't provide the flexibility I need. I need to be able to generate tabs, cell formatting, formulas, etc.

I am trying to copy the cell contents in an MSFLXGRD control (using VB5) into Excel, retaining the foreground colors of the text and numbers. I have tried using the Clipboard.SetText msflxgrd1.Clip command, but that ignores the colors. I have tried to write rtf-coded text to the clipboard using: Clipboard.SetText rtf_Text, -16639

Hello all, please, let me apologize in advance. English is not my first language (not even my second one), so excuse any errors with which I'm about to embarass myself in front of the general public. Second, I'm relatively new to python, so sorry if this seems like a stupid question. I'm trying to find a way to write data to excel cells (or to be more specific to an .xls file), let's say for the sake of argument, data readen from a...

Hello, I'm exporting an ASP page to Excel using 'Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel"' and it is working fine for the most part except the particular page I'm exporting has images, and no matter what style/alignment/etc. that I provide to the <tdtag that contains the <imgtag, it always left-aligns the image in the Excel cell. Has anyone had any success with controlling the alignment of images when exporting from ASP to...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
