I know, questions about Tkinter and threads have been answered very
often, but I want to ask anyway.
I am using Python 2.2 on a Linux (SuSE Linux 8.1) system.
I want to write a server application; like telnet is a client. The user
should be able to bind() to a port and wait for a client. The written
and recieved data is stored in a Text widget, self.__text. The
accept()ing is done in a seperate thread (using the threading module),

I am trying to edit form elements (labels, text box's, etc) in Visual Studio.NET using VB.NET. Whenever I edit certain forms’ appearance whether it is through the code, or through the designer, I receive this (Invalid ActiveX State Exception) error message at runtime whenever the form is called. I am simply trying to change the size and location of some form elements whose location and size were thrown off during the upgrade from VB6.0 to...

I get the following Exception "The data at the root level is invalid. Line
1, position 642" whenever I try to deserialize an incoming SOAP message. The
incoming message is formed well and its length is 642 bytes ( I have
appended it to the end of this message).
I suspect that the reason may have something to do with an incorrect
declaration of which class to de-serialize to.
In the attached code I substituted @@@@@@@ in the code below with...

Hello, all.
After trying to wade through a great deal of undocumented and
uncommented code in order to speed up a frame capture rate, I've
decided that, for my sanity and that of my boss and any coders to
follow me, I should start over and write it myself.
I reuse a great deal of the old code, but I can't really get much
further until I get the passthrough working (Passthrough is the 'live'
video feed captured by the camera and card).

My project involves reading magstripe cards, capturing an ID number, then spinning off to do some other things including taking a photograph. 99% of this is done and good. All early phases of work went well... Until the final assembly and "beefing up" of the project.
The magcard reader is made by Magtek. They provide an ActiveX component as the sole means of communication with this RS-232 serial port device. It works great as long as it...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
