I have a problem that I cannot delete components that are placed on a
R\abbed page in Visual Basic.Net 2003.
The form uses a Tab Control with several pages. I have a Panel on the page
and then some combo boxes, labels and text boxes.
For some reason, I cannot delete any of these controls from the form (not
even the Tab control istelf).
The Delete and Cut options in the right click menu have been ghosted out as
is the options from Edit menu.
Anyone please know what is going on and how I can fix it ?
Thanks 1 3762
Almost everybody in this newsgroup is using VB6 or lower. While you may
get a stray answer to VB.NET (including VB2003 and VB2005 which has
dropped .NET from its name) questions here, you should ask them in
newsgroups devoted exclusively to .NET programming. Look for newsgroups
with either the word "dotnet" or "vsnet" in their name.
For the microsoft news server, try these newsgroups...
microsoft.publi c.dotnet.genera l
microsoft.publi c.dotnet.langua ges.vb
microsoft.publi c.vsnet.general
There are some others, but these should get you started.

I am looking to have 2 Tab Controls on a Windows Forms.. One with Tabs on
Top and another with Tabs on the side... I want them both to occupy the
entire area of the form, but I need the Tab Headers to be visible for both
of them .. at all times... How do I accomplish this?
Also can One Tab control have Tab Headers on Top and Side.. at the same
time?..That might solve this problem easily :-)
Thanks

Hi,
I've noticed a bug in VB.NET (latest .NET Framework)...
- I have a TabControl on a form with several tabs.
- Each tab contains text boxes that are bound to fields in a data source
(DataBindings).
- When I display a record and then try to access the .Text property of one
of the text boxes on any tab except the current tab, the result is an Empty
string.

Hi Everyone.
I have been designing a form with about 100 or so controls and today I
pasted some code from another test project into this one and then all the
controls on the form disapeared from view. If I look at the
Region " Windows Form Designer generated code" section I can see the code
for the controls are there. Except for a few controls, like a tab control and
some labels (these controls are highlighted with errors). Why would this...

I have a Windows Form project with a TabControl-based window. After adding a
second tab, I can no longer copy/paste/delete controls, either on the
original tab or after they have been added to any tab in any form. These
options are disabled from menus for this form only (others are ok). Anyone
know why this might be happening?
I experimented by deleting the second tab through the Properties window,
closed Visual Studio, and re-opened my...

I decided to use a tab control for my latest project. On Windows XP, the
tab control itself is themed (tabs are themed), but the tab pages and
any controls I put on them are not themed (except for textboxes).
Done a bit of googling on this subject and I found a lot of people with
the same problem, but no real solution.
Has anyone come up with a good way to get controls to appear themed on a
tab page?

Ok.. I have a form with lots of stuff on it; a tool strip panel, menu strip,
data binding elements (dataset, binding source, table adapter), tab control
with 7 tab pages, each page contains a picture box, lots of text boxes (for
input).. you get the idea. All of a sudden everything on the form has
disappeared, it looks like a blank, newly created form. I can still get to
the properties of every item on the form using the drop-down box in...

Hi, I am using VS2005. I have a form with a tabControl on it. Suddenly I can
no longer see any of my controls, on any of the pages, or even the
tabControl itself. They still exist because the various objects are
available in the properties interface. If I select one I can see all the
properties but the control doesn't show in the design area.
When I run the application the form appears blank. Here are the properties
on the tabControl that...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
