How to retrieve all file name from Folder?

126 New Member
Hullo Good Friends,
I am using VBNET2008. As requested by Senior Developer to retrieve all file names with extension .DOC set in the FolderBrowserDialog. Then place the File name in the DataGridView. Was told to use System.IO. I have not done it before and just don't know how to start it as well.

My office mate, Jane Durban is having the same problem as well.

Please help me. Thank You.

My bet is that by "senior developer" you actually mean "teacher" and by "office mate" you mean classmate.
Which means "Hullo Good Friends" also translates to "Hullo Suckers - anyone willing to help me with my homework."

So my response is: Certainly here is what you do - which translates to: "no - go read the worksheet or book you are using for the class"

But I will point you in the right direction...

Lookup System.io.DirectoryInfo class and the GetFiles method. Remember to use NEW when you create the DI class.

YOU ARE WRONG MAKING THIS STATEMENT:
My bet is that by "senior developer" you actually mean "teacher" and by "office mate" you mean classmate.

I AM NOT ATTENDING ANY INSTITUTE.
