Defining Implicit Casting Operators in VB.NET?

In C# you can use the implicit keyword to define an implicit user-defined type conversion operator.

In VB.NET you can define a CType conversion operator that will explicitly convert a user-defined type into another type.

Is there a way to declare an implicit conversion operator in VB.NET?

I can't seem to find any information on this....

Thanks,

I think I found the answer to my question...

When you define a conversion operator for your user defined type, you need to implement 2 methods.

One method looks like:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Public Shared Narrowing Operator CType(ByVal initialData As Something) As MyClass
  2.         ....
  3. End Operator
And the other looks like:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Public Shared Widening Operator CType(ByVal initialData As MyClass) As Something
  2.        ....
  3. End Operator
Apparently the Widening operator is called when an implicit conversion happens.
