Setup project makes load times of solution long in VB 2005

I have a solution with about 200 files in about 36 projects in a large
solution, when I add a setup project into the mix its load time increases to
about 3 minutes, if I take it out, the load time is about 30 seconds, any
reason for this? what do you guys normally do? include your setup project in
your code solution? this is all going through sourcesafe also...
