Q: Executing an application on a remote computer

Hi

Can anybody tell me how to execute an application on a remote computer? For
example, suppose I know the connection string to the computer, together with
the username and password, how could I start notepad from another computer?

By the way, I want to do this using code rather than other means.

Example code would be great.
