How Long??

First of all thanx for the massive help with all questions i've posted
on this group.

I am slowly but surely moving on with vb.net and constantly reading this
newsgroup but I'm sorry as I'm still not even close to having the
ability to answer questions on this newsgroup.

Now i was just wondering how long will the newsgroup hold our posts
for?? I'm sure it won't be stored here perpetually? but how long does
the server keep the posts active for??

Hi Radith,

That depends on the newsserver you are user. However it stays very long.
For sending and reading purpose it is on the microsoft newsserver two month
for this newsgroup.
For reading you can use Google, that seems to stay forever.

That depends on the news server. news.microsoft.com will keep them for
some weeks, some other news servers may keep them longer. In the Google
Groups Archive (<URL:http://groups.google.com/>) messages are stored for
ten years (I read somewhere), but AFAIS they are stored even longer.

It's knowledge, so there is no reason to throw it away after some weeks.
