Register .Net-Components

Hello,
i've written a simple client-server-application. I want to
register the server in the component service. Every try
fails with the message, that there are no components or
type libraries in my DLL. But that is wrong. I know that i
need a strong name, so i have generated a key-file
named "KeyFile.snk".

The Server contains only the following code:

#If STRONG Then
<Assembly: System.Reflection.AssemblyVersion
("1.0.1362.20548")>
<Assembly: System.Reflection.AssemblyKeyFile
("D:\TEMP\Register\Register\KeyFile.snk")>
#End If

Public Class Server
Public Shared Function HelloWorld() As String
Return "Hello World"
End Function
End Class
Greetings Andre

We are using Visual Studio.NET 2003 in our project with .NET framework 1.1. One of our libraries is a mixed-mode dll assembly consisting of one managed C++ library, and several unmanaged C++ libraries. We are using managed C++ as a bridge between managed .NET code and unmanaged C++ code, which I'm sure is a fairly common practice. The...

Hi Group, I have a doubt about register variables. I know that if we have a variable used very frequently in a function, then provided we never apply the & function to it, we can define it as a register variable and this will make it much faster to access. Now the question is: obviously there are only a fixed number of registers in our...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
