Hi all,
as I'll unfortunately always be a newbie, I need your help on this
issue.
I need to suggest to our customers a way to crate partitions on our
tables, without having to add any new column there.
The primary key in our tables environment is always based on a FOR BIT
DATA column, coming from a GENERATE_UNIQUE function on Nt/AIX and...

Hallo!
I need to convert the values of a varchar (..) for bit data column to a
string which can be stored in a normal varchar column (with additional
information).
Is there a function in db2 which supports this?
I think it must be possible to convert it in base64 format.
Of course I also need a function for the opposite direction.

I've looked around and have yet to find anything that would answer my
question regarding formating a column in a datagrid. My grid looks like
this as far as data"
AMHQCON|51300.01|-3147
The first two columns are pretty much text column, but subsequent columns
1-12 are numerical. I'm trying to get the thousand separator to work. Any...

How can I go about masking the data in a DataGrid Data column? For example, I load a DataSet with somebody's contact information. How can I make the phone number data, which is stored as:
5551234567 display as (555)123-4567
Thanks.

I'm retrieving a data column from SQL Server 2000 which has the type Varchar
with length set to 10. The MaxLength method of DataColumn object returns -1
instead of the correct size which is 10. Does anybody have an idea why C#
doesn't read the correct length?
Here is the code
foreach (DataColumn _dataColumn in importDataSet.Tables.Columns)...

I have been trying to use Linq o SQL to query an XML data column I
currently have in my DB,
but it seems that Linq to SQL sees a typed xml column as an XElement,
I don't want to get the full column locally to then use Linq to Xml.
can someone point me in the right direction on this ?
Regards,

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...
