It's nearly impossible to find anything on this because of the
Dictionary class, included within the dotnet framework, that pollutes
any search results pertinent to my question.
I want to be able to access an array of words, just like it were a
physical dictionary. It's for a stupid little project, but it
involves decryption. Is there a file that Word has which contains
this collection of words that I can import somehow into my dotnet...

Hello,
I have an Access 2K application that several users on a network will be
working with. They will each have a copy of the "front-end" and will
link to a common "back-end" database located on a network drive. There
is a requirement to be able to check spelling using some industry
specific abbreviations, words, etc. I would like to change the
dictionary to a common one that is located on the network in the same
place as the back end...

I was trying to get custom dictionary class that can store generic or
string; So I started with the example given by the visual studio 2005 c#
online help for simpledictionay object
That seem to miss a few things including #endregion directive and the ending
class }
Is there not a simple way like in dotnet vb?
I managed to get the sample to code to this:

Hi Folks.
When I iterate through my custom designed collection, I always get the
error:
"Unable to cast object of type 'System.Collections.DictionaryEntry' to type
'ContentObjects.ContentBlock'."
The error occurs at the "For...Each" line if this method:

If I want to take action on the Add event of a generic Dictionary, do I
need to create a custom Dictionary and add an event handler for the
Add() method? The dictionary is a public field on a custom control.
Thanks,
Brett

I'm using VB in ASP.NET 2.0. I've created a dictionary with a custom key
that contains 2 integers as properties. The key is in the dictionary, but
when I do a ContainsKey(mykey) it always returns false. This works if the
key in the dictionary is just a single integer.
I a C# forum I found a reference to overriding an objects GetHashCode.
Because the ContainsKey. Anyone have an example of how to do this? Is this
the right approach?

Hi,
I still have problem updating my custom control at design time.
When i change a property of my custom control in the property window, i
would like to see this change immediately on my custom control at the
design time.
Unfortunately, my custom control does not refresh at design time when a
property is changed.

Hello everyone,
I'm storing functions in a dictionary (this is basically for cooking up
my own fancy schmancy callback scheme, mainly for learning purpose):

.... return "f1" + arg

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
