parameters in a RDLC file

1 New Member
Hi all

I have a RDCL Report called Report1.RDCL.
In this report I put an image box named logo the select image is set to EXTERNAL and in the use this image I have =Parameters!Log oPath.Value.
I would like the users to be able to pick their own logo.
How can I pass the file path to the paremeter.

Thanks.

I don't see a way to use the page settings from the RDLC Report, specifically to get it to print in Landscape. The PageHeight is set to 8.5in and the Width is set to 10in (for .5 in margins). I tried using the LocalReport.GetDefaultPageSettings, but this returns 8.5in X 11in, or Portrait mode. How do I obtain the proper, current settings that I have set within the report.RDLC file. I need to be able to obtain these at runtime so that...

Hello, I noticed in the toolbox for the VB2005 Report control (RDLC file), the Line tool, Table, Matrix, List tools are all missing. Only the Textbox tool is available and listed for all of the other tools. Like I have 6 listings of the Textbox tool where the Line, Matrix, List, Table tools used to be. I re-ran VS2005 Setup - Repair, but that did not bring back the tools. Note: I have the tools for the forms.

I'm a newbie to the messageboard, but I'm wondering if any of you gurus have tried to do the following before? I'm developing a custom reporting solution as part of a web application for a corporate client. One of the required features is a user-defined reporting (UDR) solution, but we cannot use ReportBuilder because their corporate firewalls prohibit ActiveX controls. Therefore, I have a wizard-style ASP.NET and C# interface that...

On my development machine where I have Visual Studio 2005 loaded, I have an app that uses the Report control. I can view data in report format with the Report control -- the data renders OK in the Report control. My problem is in rendering the report from the rdlc file for printing to a line printer. Following the example from MSDN Help at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms252172(VS.80).aspx I can print the rdlc report...

I need information on how to programmatically access a named parameter within an RDLC file associated with a ReportViewer in local mode. I also want to verify that a parameter set up like this =Fields!personID.Value will return what I am expecting. For example if "LName" is displayed in a box and the parameter name is 'person_id' with the associated parameter value =fields!PersonID.Value then when the user clicks on the textbox with...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
