Re: program will not run on another pc

Dear cj2,

The Visual Studio 2008 uses the .NET Framework 3.5, you can still use the
Caspol tool to grant FullTrust permission for your application. But if you
install the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 beta , applications run from a network
share will receive a grant set of FullTrust by default.

You can refer to this blog for more information:

FullTrust on the LocalIntranet
http://blogs.msdn.com/shawnfa/archiv...the-localintra
net.aspx

And the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service pack 1 Beta is available at:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...CA4-E947-4760-
9B05-93CAC04C6F87&di splaylang=en

Have a good day!

Do apps have to target 3.5 to see this change, or will apps that
target 2.0 also see it as long as 3.5 SP 1 Beta is installed?

Dear Jack,

Basically .NET 3.5 sp1 can be treated as .NET 2.0 CLR sp2, so I don't think
you need to re-target your application to 3.5 to be able to use that
feature. However, to be safe, I would suggest you download .NET 3.5 sp1
beta and test it on a virtual pc.

Hi, I'm trying to create a program similar to that of Google's desktop that will crawl through the hard drive and index files. I have written the program and as of now I just put the thread to sleep for 1 second after indexing a couple of files. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way that I could make so that the program will run at full speed only runs after the computer has been idle for a while. I've looked at the "nice" command...

I've been working on a program to try and play a game of Craps, based on a version I found elsewhere - I didn't code the original, but I added a few things such as a balance and wager system. I'm having trouble doing it all without using global variables though, so I have another post in this group about local variable usage and how to pass it, but just when I thought I'd got it, my program has a segmentation fault. I'm not exactly sure...

Hello, how can I make a program respond to another program's input request? For example, this code: Process.Start("unrar.exe", "e D:\temp\key.rar D:temp2") SendKeys.SendWait("test~") will successfully start a program that prompts for a password, and then submit the password via SendKeys. SendKeys will work with both console and windows prompts. However, the program only works when is executed by

I need to make a reasonably big decision, and I need some advice. I have used C# to make some pretty nice and potentially very educational toys/animation. One does n body orbit simulations, another does gas molecules interacting according to the ideal gas law, and another generates hypercycloids. I have loaded them up with eye candy, and they produce terrific graphics - I would expect that many children/teens would use them as pattern...

I have a central program I am starting to develop that will track processing deviations. This program is VB 2008 and needs to be called from VB 2005 programs and VB2008 programs (we have some VB 6 programs as well but I these are getting phased out). I need to call this program, pass the logged in user name, and fill in essential data from the calling program into the called program. I don't really want to create a deviation form for all...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
