I know I can merge a child forms menu into the MDI parent's mainmenu, but I
would also like to listen for common events fired from the mainmenu that
might be of interest to any child forms.
Is this possible?

I'm using Visual Studio 2005 and .Net 2.0.
When I maximize my Child form, the title bar of the Child form will
overtake the parent form's menu bar

When you create a MDI form, you can attach a main menu to the parent and to
the child. When a child form is active, its menu is merged with the parent
menu.
The problem is: when the forms are right to left, after merging the menus
the parent menu is displayed left to the child menu, which is ok in left to
right windows but not in right to left windows. After you play with your
mouse with the menu items, the parent menu suddenly goes to the...

I need to create an application that uses primarily a single form rather than
an SDI that creates a new form for everythting. However, I don't want an MDI
style application since the users I'm dealing with would be overwhelmed with
it.
The approach I tried in the past was to use MDI, but made all the child
windows occupy the entire parent area without a frame so it looked like a
single window. I also allowed only a single instance of...

Hi,
Don't know if anyone can cast any light on this...
I have a fairly complex C# WinForm with (amongst other) a text box and a
button.
The TextBox has events declared for KeyUp and KeyDown, the button has a
simple Click event.
Under certain circumstances (haven't worked out exactly what they are yet,
but it involves opening and closing a sub form). Pressing ENTER with the

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
