Bill, please do us all a favour and stop replying to spam messages. We can
all tell that it's spam, we don't need someone to come along and point it
out to us.

The spammers don't read your reply and it really doesn't upset them. The
only people that get irritated by your replies are the other members of the
group, many of whom won't have seen the original spam message anyway because
their own software or their news server will have filtered it out. So the
only spam they see is in your message (which you helpfully quoted in full,
in case anyone missed it the first time).

I can see four messages from you in this group from the last week or so, all
of which are replies to spam. Really, if you want the spammers to go away,
replying to their messages isn't the way to achieve it. Just ignore them or
killfile them.

Hi, What I am trying to do: ======================= I need to form a table in html using the xsl but the table that is formed is quite long and cannot be viewed in our application. So we are writing one object in C# which will take the entire table tag contents and renders. Ie., we need to pass "<table>………… <thead>……</thead>. <tr>.<td> <td>..<tr>.<td> <td> </table>" content to

I am having trouble having Google Adsense code stored in XSL converted properly into HTML. The <> unfortunately become &lt; and &gt; and then no longer work. XSL code is: <script type="text/javascript"> <!]> </script> <script type="text/javascript"

Hi, everyone, I've checked a couple of on-line resources and am unable to determine how reinterpret_cast<> is different from static_cast<>. They both seem to perform a compile-time casting of one type to another. However, I'm certain that there is something else that is happening. Can someone explain the difference or recommend an online site that can explain it to me?

Dear all, here is a simple problem that I cannot overcome: I'm trying to write a client/server application in Visual Basic .net. The server is an executable (.exe) project, the clients are class library (.dll) projects. The server loads the clients from their DLL-files at runtime using reflection tools, such as: ClientAssembly = System.Reflection.Assembly.LoadFrom(Client_To_Load_File_Name)

I have a method that needs to return either a Dictionary<k,vor a List<v> depending on input parameters and options to the method. 1. Is there any way to convert from a dictionary to a list without itterating through the entire collection and building up a list? 2. is there a common base class, collection or interface that can contain either/both of these collection types and then how do you convert or cast from the base to either a...

I'm looking for a pattern where different client implementations can use the same commands of some fictive tool ("foo") by accessing some kind of API. Actually I have the need for such pattern for my own tool (http://openswarm.sourceforge.net). I already started restructuring my code to separate the actual command implementations from the command-line scripts (which is optparser-based now) and have some ideas how to proceed. But probably...

Hi, I have a query. All html tags start with < and end with >. Suppose i want to display either '<' or '>' or say some text like '<Company>' in html how do i do it? One method is to use &lt, &gt ,&ltCompany&gt to display '<', '>' and '<Company>' respectively. But is there any freeware code available which could implement the above functionality without having to use &gt,&lt and such stuff???

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
