There is a form (single form) and a combobox. I want that current record of
the form is adjusted according to selected value in the combobox. Cuurrent
record should be the same as the value in the combobox.
What is the solution?
Thank you in advance.

I use the DataSource like below to fill a Combobox:
comboBox1.DataSource = dataSet1.Tables;
comboBox1.DisplayMember = "ProductName";
When the user types any keyboard key i use the DROPDOWN
property, like below, to show all combobox itens:
this.comboBox1.DroppedDown = true;

Hello - this started out as a minor annoyance - and now is
starting to bother me more and more - I'm hoping someone
can help me.
I would like to have a combobox display - NOT initially be
blank - but contain a value. However the value is just
for user reference - not really one of the combobox
choices. For example intially the combobox should equal
the word Select - and the item values can be
say 'one', 'two', and 'three'.

ComboBox databindng Problem
== How the ComboBox is setup and used:
My comboBox is populated by a lookup table. The ValueMember is the
lookup table's Id and the DisplayMember is the text from a
corresponding field in the lookup table. In my data table we store the
ID in what I will call the 'key' field.

I have used the feedback on this issue to remedy my comboboxes showing
the first item on the list when a new record is added to the binding
context ---
Me.BindingContext(dsOrders, "tblOrders").AddNew()
Me.ComboBox1.SelectedIndex = -1
but... how do we deal with the same issue during record navigation?
When I move forward or backward onto a null field the combo defaults to
the first item on the list again?

Bound Column 3
Column Count 3
Column Heads Yes
Column Widths 1";1";1"

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
