Outlook 2003: Connect to an already-open PST file

Hello,

I already have my PST file open within Outlook (it's actually a PST
created by a Sharepoint import). How can I access the information
within it? I seems to me that using the "AddStore" method won't work,
because that tries to reattach the PST that Outlook is already
accessing.

Am I way off here?

Thanks,
John

I have a routine that uses Late Binding to create a email and put it into the DRAFTS folder of Outlook. It only works if Outlook is already launched (Opened by me clicking on my desktop ICON manually). If Outlook is not previously opened, I'm not sure if they are getting put into the Inbox folder or are being actually sent and then get received by me email server and sent down to me (I just see them appear in the inbox - but not...

Hi all, I want to apologize if this is the wrong forum for this question. I would like to write an application, in Java running on UNIX, that would insert, read, and mark as completed tasks in exchange. What is the best approach for this? Is the answer to write a web service using C# and then call it from Java? Does OWA already provide a set of web services for something like this? If so is there WSDL to go with it?

I have an Outlook 2003 using Exchange Server 2003 Public Contacts Folder containing 20,000 Contacts. I am writing a VB .Net 2003 program that loops through all the contacts in a "for each oCt in oItems" loop. After about 250 contacts, the program gives an InvalidCastException Error on the for each loop. I notice that Outlook's memory keeps increasing (using the task manager) until it reaches around 20,000K. When I run the program a second...

Not sure where to post this. At runtime, we need to be able to make sure a user is running Outlook (at least 98 or higher) in order to send an email. So, if a condition is met, we need to start up outlook (if it's not running) and send an email from the logged on user's outlook account. How do we do this?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
