Hello,
I have the following scenario and I was hoping that someone would help
me determine the best way to approach this situation in Visual Studio
2005:
1) I have questions in a database which I would like to display on a
form.
2) Along with the questions, I would like to display a series of
radio controls for the user to supply their input.
3) At the end of these series of questions and radio boxes, I would
like to display a command button. When the user clicks on this
command button, the database will be queried and the answers to the
questions will be displayed.
For example, the form would say:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is your favorite type of dog?
<radio1Beagle <radio2 Great Dane <radio3 Greyhound
<radio4 Other
What is your favorite type of cat?
<radio1Siames e <radio2 Persian <radio3 Hairless
<radio4 Other
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When the user highlights their choice via the radio button, and then
clicks on the SUBMIT Command Button, the form will display the
database results. For example:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is your favorite type of dog? You said: "Great Dane". Most
people The most popular choice was: "Beagle", chosen by 54% of
respondents.
What is your favorite type of cat? You said: "Hairless". Most
people The most popular choice was: "Siamese", chosen by 59% of
respondents.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I see various types of controls, SQL Readers, Data Grids, etc. but
I'm wondering what would be the best way to do this in Visual Studio
2005? Does anyone have any "snippets" of code that does this that
they could post?
Thanks

Hi everyone.
I am an Access developer having worked with Access-dev. projects for
many years on Sql server databases and Access.
For the internet I have been using traditional asp.
But now I have tried asp.net and this tool seemes great to me.
Haven't tried Vb for Visual Studio net, but hope to do that in the very
future.
Hope that this version of vb goes well together with asp.net although I
don't know how.

Hi to all!
A customer of mine told me some days ago that her IT-people told her
ACCESS would not be such a good idea for continuing with our project,
because Access will not be continued in the future. I haven't heard of
this. Does anybody know more about it?
The IT-People usually prefer Oracle. If they really want to go in this
direction, could our Access-application (if continued) be used as a
front end with an Oracle back end? Does...

We have an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. We are upgrading SQL
Server to SQL 2005, and are considering upgrading to Access 2003. Someone
mentioned that they had heard about some incompatibilities between Access
2003 and SQL Server 2005. Anyone hear of anything? And, if so, would staying
with Access 2000 be better?
Thanks!

I developed my first web site using Visual studio 2005.
It works very well with Visual Studio. But after I published the web site in
a file system folder in my PC using
the instructions I found in Visual studio help Walkthrough: Publishing a Web

except the ones with connections (using Gridview, details view) to the
database (SQL Server 2005).
What didn't I do?

Hi
I am currently using Visual Studio.Net 2003 running on Windows Server 2000
operating system.
I have used Visual Studio.net 2003 connecting to Access 2002 databases in

Now, I have a need to go to Access 2007 which produces database.accdb file

I've used ole db Jet 4.0 to connect to Access 2002 in Visual Studio.Net

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
