OK, maybe this is my opinion, maybe these are bugs.
Given the folowing:
I have a NotifyIcon on my Form, a Context menu associated with the
NotifyIcon, and a MenuItem on the ContextMenu set as default. When the
default MenuItem is clicked, there is code to no longer show the NotifyIcon.
What I feel should happen is when I double-click the NotifyIcon in the
system tray, it should perform the default menu item's Click event.

Can anyone tell me if there is a workable method to get the mouse cursor
position on the screen or the NotifyIcon position? I need to display a
context menu for the NotifyIcon when clicked and I'd like it to display
based on the relative position of the tray icon or mouse pointer if
possible (whichever method works).
Any help would be much appreciated.

I've been working on an application which has a NotifyIcon (system tray
icon), and a corresponding ContextMenu. I want to be able to update this
menu dynamically. However, when I make changes to the menu, it seems to
disappear. This only breaks when the context menu is tied to a NotifyIcon -
not to any other control.
Below is a C# file for a form which should illustrate this (at least it does
on my machine!). The same contextmenu is...

I have an application that is made up of a single module for my global
variables and then multiple classes. There is no form. I am using a
notifyicon as my notification(Basically different colored icons). All
functions for the notifyicon work great except for the showballoontip.
I have configured it many ways, but basically I want:
nIcon.ShowBalloonTip(1000, "Balloon tip!", "This is a balloon tooltip
from a NotifyIcon",...

I'm having a timeout problem with NotifyIcon.ShowBalloonTip, but not the
problem commonly found.
Most people complain that the balloon shows up too long (even though this is
by design... I've done that reading), but the problem I'm having is the icon
is disappearing too quickly.
Even in an application that all I have is a Form, NotifyIcon and Button,
when the Button_Click action is set for

Hello Jason,
Thanks for using Microsoft Newsgroup Support Service, my name is Ji Zhou
and I will be working on this issue with you.
I have tried to but cannot reproduce your issue on my side. From your
codes, I think the logical is, every time the Timer's elapsed event fires,
we call the Check_For_Version_Update() function. From the
Check_For_Version_Update() function, we judge a condition statement, and
determine whether to call...

I have a program which puts an icon in the notification area and has a menu associated with it available by right clicking on the icon. I want the menu items to be selected by single left clicks but I also want the user to be able to single left click on the icon itself to do some other functionality.
Here's the problem - the single click on the menu first fires the notifyicon1_click() routine and then the menuitem1_click() routine. How do I...

The following code makes the Form(menu) appear, and disappear, but if I select a opened window or anything besides the Form(menu) or NotifyIcon, the Form(menu) disappears and will not come back from clicking the NotifyIcon. I would much appreciate if someone could give me a solution to this problem, otherwise there isn't really a point to continue building my program.
public static bool menuOpen = false;

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
