error in project designer file

GS
when I try choose an image by importing a bmp file. I found the visual
studio express creating a designer vile for my project. that is if my
assembly name is myapp, I will find a new file myapp.designer. vb that did
not exist before. what bothers me is that immediately I see a lot of errors
showing up on missing various dataset, components. if save the project, I
would not be able to reopen in designer

Strange but after Visual studio crashed and restarted, the problem went
away.

For some strange reason, after several close re-open visual studio, between
working on other parts of the form and adding items to the main menu.
VStudio crashed.

I lost some work. however, after complete project backup, I opened vstudio,
redo the lost changes on the menu again.

Noticing V.Studio created an "application.de signer.vb" file I decided to.
save and close the project. as well to close VS

backup project

I tired my luck on image import. I was able to change image from the image
attribute of the control. no errors was found and was able to compile. I
went to change image of another control without incidents

Weird.. For all I know, closing the VS but itself did not resolve the
issue.

Now I'm trying to port this to VS 2005. The forms that use these specialized ..NET /CLR compiled controls will compile and run, but won't show in the Design editor. What...

I keep getting errors that pop up when I am trying to convert an application from dotnet framework 1.1 to framework 2.0. The old project was saved in sourcesafe from Visual Studio 2003, and I have opened it in Visual Studio 2005. I've cleared up most errors, but have one that beats the heck out of me. I have a page: sales/Item.aspx...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
