The command string consists of "filename.exe instruction1 instruction2
...." It works in subprocess, but in process, returns the error "can't
find the file instruction1".
How do I pass command line instructions in process.Process? I tried a
list with the same
result.
If you're wondering why I'm switching, it's because I'm working with a
poorly behaved 3rd party program that causes a severe memory leak, and I

I need to convert a byte array to a string and pass it as a parameter in a
URL and then convert it back to the original byte array. However, its
getting scrambled in the conversion. In short, here's the code:
======================================
Dim textConverter As New ASCIIEncoding
Dim sParam As String = "This is my cool param"
Dim bytParam() As Byte
'load the byte array here...

Hello,
I tried posting this in a different VB.net newsgroup, but never got a
response. Please let me know if there is a better group to post this
in. Thanks.
For some reason I cannot look at the processes running on one machine
on the network. I always get the following error:

This is a very simplified version of something I am trying to
understand.
The State object holds the strings and maps , and I pass a reference
to State to the process Function which manipulates it based on the tag
passed in.
I cannot pass the strings/maps in question as references coz ..
a) thats redundant, state has everything, it increases number of
parameters unnecessarily
b) I have to do the case/switch outside the function to...

Okay, I have a fix for this problem, but it is messy and I think there might
be a better way. Heres an example:
Lets say I have a string: "My name is alex"
and I have another string "My name is alex, and I like pie".
I want to test to see if just the "My name is alex" part is there. I don't
care about the pie part.
My first instinct was to just create a for loop and test for the string like

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
