Hi there,
I have created an Access 2002 db which contains several reports. Some
reports need to be printed on a Laserjet and others on a Labelprinter.
One of my clients wants to be able to print the same reports to 3
different laserjets and to 3 different labelprinters. (They work with
the db on 3 different units each with their own Laserjet and
Labelprinter)
For each unit there is a copy of all the reports.
The client can make a unit...

I have been trying to change printer settings thru SetPrinter API and it
works successfully for local printers, but with network printers i don't get
neither an error message or anything else.
Here is my code.
'Class DevMode
' Used to get data from PrintDialog thru a pointer using Marshal .NET
functionality.

OK, guys, usually I answer questions instead of asking them,
but this thing has me scratching my head.
Why is the default for AutoEventWireup different for C# and VB.NET ?
In VS 2005, if I create a new VB website using code-behind, the following Page directive is inserted
:
<%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="Default.aspx.vb" Inherits="_Default" %>

I have a problem on a specific pc...
On the PC, in control panel Printers there are a few printers listed, including a printer that is a network share on another PC.
I have some code that adds these printers to a combobox so that the user can pick a printer, this code is :

Dim pkInstalledPrinters As String

my.computer.printers.defaultprinter doesn't exist in 2005, despite the
plethora of examples still out on the web detailing its use.
So how can I determine a person's default printer using ASP 2?
Thanks!

Greetings all!
My problem is this. I've installed a new printer on my computer.
This is the "default printer" for access. Now, some of my reports,
which were working fine with the old printer, are now showing up with
an odd view (very enlarged) in preview. If I go to page setup, and
choose specific printer to then look at the paper size listed in my
default printer, it shows Hegaki Card 100mmX148mm instead of letter.
It seems as...

This doesn't really seem to be a .NET or C# question. However, you may
want to look at the driver settings (printer properties). Usually when
what you're describing happens, it's because the printer driver is
substituting fonts that aren't built into the printer.
It's more efficient for the driver to use font substitution, because then

Hello
I need to display and then automatically print a PDF file.
I'm using AxAcroPDF to display the PDF. AxAcroPDF class has a very
good method: printAll().
The only thing is that I need to print as landscape. AxAcroPDF doesn't
allow me to change the paper orientation (in fact doesn't support any
setting changing).
To workaround, I need to set the paper orientation of the default

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
