Hi all,
I have an application that uses a Pmw ComboBox to display a list that
is dynamic. The user has the ability to add and delete items from the
list at different points in the program.
However, once the list is updated it needs to automatically refresh
the ComboBox to reflect the updated list. The only way I have been
able to solve the problem so far is to redraw the window (by
withdrawing the window and calling the function that...

Thank you in advance for any assistance, it is greatly appreciated. I would
like to know if there's a way to update a combobox that is on a form when the
table that it's linked to is updated, with the form still open?
I have multiple comboboxes linked back to other tables and as a user
double-clicks on the combobox, a form for updating that table is opened. The
problem I have is that the updated listing isn't available in the combobox...

Greetings,
As I understands it, SelectedValud of combobox reads its value from
ValueMember property of the combobox. This doesn't work with me. What
happens is just randome update. This is the code,
'Here I set connectin and commands
Dim cn As SqlConnection = New SqlConnection(str)

I've got a form with a datagrid that displays a list of items, along
with several textboxes, comboboxes, etc., that display the details for
the selected item. The columns in the datagrid and the "details"
controls are both bound to fields in a dataview called dvItems. The
dataview is a subset of a datatable called dtItems, which is simply a
copy of all the data in a table called Items. The idea is to allow
the user to edit an item in...

Hello,
(Windows forms - SQL Server)
I fill my datagrid with a stored procedure that includes relationships
to lookup tables so that users can see the values of the combobox
selections rather than the key value that are stored in the table.
It works well if the comboboxes are selected when the row is created.

Hi all
I'm beginning my foray from VBA into VB 2005 Express, and enjoying
some of the efficiencies it provides! I'm stuck with some dataset
handling however that I _think_ can be automated but I can probably
code what I want to do the hard way. I've searching around online but
can't find an answer to this specific question.
Here's the situation: I have a dataset table with 3 fields: one
indexed as a primary key and the other two...

I have a main form with header info w/ 'tHeader' as the control source.
I have a subform with 'tDetail' as a control source.
They're strung together by a field named MA_ID.
This works fine.
I have a field within the subform that I want to update via a combobox located on the same subform.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
