Hi, I've been trying to write a function to test whether one class is derived from another class. I am given only id's of the two classes. Therefore, direct use of template methods is not an option. Let's call the id of a class "cid" (for "class id"). The function signature should look like this: ******************************************

Hi everyone, I am looking for a good data structure that could be used to represent families of trees with shared sub-trees and copy-on-write semantics. On a very abstract level, I would like to have an API like this: Let Node be a suitably defined data structure. Then the following functions shall be supported:

Hi group, I want to indent existing XML files so they are more readable (at least to me). At this moment I'm looking at the XML files OpenOffice.org's Writer application produces in it's zipped "SXW" format (and they're one line, probably to save space, which I find hard to read). At first I thought I was going to do it with sed/awk or something like that, but then I remembered the xsl:output element with the indent attribute of XSL and...

Hi, I would to have a tree view control with check boxes in which the parent and child nodes interacts, in the way that you normally see this occuring. Checking the parent node automatically checks all its children node. Conversely, if one of the child nodes is unchecked, the parent node unchecks. Is there a property of the treeview that will automatically do this for me or do I need to roll my own? Thanks, Bob

Hi, i get stucked on a transformation problem using XSLT. What i need is to copy an XML Tree to an output XML without any automatic changes. Since i used <xsl:copyor <xsl:copy-ofthere occur unwanted side effects. For example i just copied a xml were several namespace declarations are present more than one time. Then the transformation do remove the declaration at the child nodes. Another funny automatism is - if i remove a node

I am trying to create a custom container control that will only ever contain a specific type of control. At design time, when a control of a different type is added to the container I would like to wrap the control in the proper control type - which is also a container. At design time I want to be able to turn this : <my:container> <asp:textbox />

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
