I would like to display a ToolTip (WinForms) when the Control associated recieves focus (when the control.enter event is triggered) as oppose to having the ToolTip displayed when the mouse hovers over the control,How can this be accomplished(Im developing in C#)?

I have a dialog that I bring up as an options dialog. I have a variable for
this dialog as a member of the main application form and I create it in the
constructor. I bring up the dialog by calling
MyOptionsDialog.ShowDialog(this) and I check the DialogResult in an if

tree view and i have the following three Events in my C# application.

OwnerDraw tooltip.
In the Popup event I calculate the size of the tooltip I need to display
(rather large tooltip) and resize it using the ToolTipSize property.
In the Draw event, I draw my tooltip.

Hello,
Some database applicatins have a tooltip feature where when you are dragging
the scrollbar of the table view a tooltip appears next to the mouse cursor
displaying the approximate record number you are scrolling past (Excel,
Access). Sql server has the rownumbers on the Row Header column of its table
view.
Ideally, I would like to add row numbers to the Row Header column of the
datagridview like sql server - Any suggestions...

I did not find it by Google on Microsoft sites
I know 102 is just too long and tooltip would not display at all
actually first two level of menuitems does not display tooltip properly.
level1, nothing seem to show, level 2 flash by quickly and disappear.
However when I move cursor down to level 3 and back to it parent, I will see
a stable tooltip display.

I use Visual Studio 2005 and created a very simple Form with one button. I
added a Tooltip for that button. It shows fine the first time I hover over
that button. But if I let it disappear by the maximum time it should be
displayed, it never shows again over that button. Is that intended? And what
can I do to make it show again?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
