Hi there!
I'm a newbie in this area and have assigned, appears to be, tough task.
Please help me out.
I have to update 3 different database server(Sybase / MYSQL / MS SQL)
using a client webservice.Clie nt has one tool that can push the new
records(Product s) time to time and webservice(at client end) will keep
the records in the cache. Please let me know how to read the dataset
from cache and how to store the records in a xml file at disk or how to
update the databases that has totally different structure then the
generated xml file.Please advice.
FYI:
Public Function WinUploadFile(B yVal UserID As String, ByVal Password As
String, ByVal DS As DataSet, ByVal Rebuild As Boolean) As Boolean
Try
If CheckUserIDandP assword(UserID, Password) Then
Dim cs As New ClientSpecific( UserID, Password)
cs.SubmitInvent oryUploadDS(DS, Rebuild)
Else 'bad credentials
Return False
End If
End Try
End Function
Would highly appreciate prompt response!
With Thanks! 1 1439
Any thought?
Please let me know if anyone needs more information..

dataAdapter.Update(data, "TableName") won’t work!
I was about to deploy my first website on the Internet only to discover that
the dataAdapter.Update() throws the Server Error in the third underline. It

I am looking for a good solution on how to implement data access in an
application so that there is a clean separation between the data access
layer, the business layer and the GUI layer. I am looking for a robust
solution for a major application. Almost every developer seems to come
up with a completely different solution. While many of them are not
bad, I really want a very good one.
My database is SQL Server 2000 and I am using Visual...

I am using Infragistics UltraWebTab (a tab folder control for ASP.NET). My
tab folder control will include five tab pages with a separate web form on
each, and these web forms will share data.
My questions regard the data tier, that is, how I should construct the data
objects so as to reduce memory usage while optimizing page performance?
1. I'll be using data sets. How can I share a single data set across the
multiple web forms?

I have a Web Server running IIS 5 or 6 on Windows 2K and Windows 2003 Server
that is experiencing strange shutdown problems. We are using ASP.NET v1.1
and our application is written in VB.NET
Here's the scenario:
1. .NET Windows Client on a remote machine makes a web service call to
update tables on a Web Server running SQL Server 2000.
2. The Update is updating about 1000 - 3000 records doing simple update
statements like "Update...

Hi,
We have a ms access database that we will be using to develop a website
which would have fairly low usage levels.
We have some experience with windows apps but not so much with asp.net
projects. We have used ADO datasets previously for a windows application
that we developed where the entire db was loaded into the dataset at the
beginning of the application and the user made changes to the dataset
which was then saved back to the...

When I try to read in a csv file it gives me this error message.
'Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.' If I change the
extension to txt it processes just fine. I have googled all sites on
this and I haven't found anything to help. (tried registry stuff,
reinstall .NET 2.0, patches). This just broke out the blue too which
is weird because it was running fine on our server on monday but now
it pukes. Here is the code.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
