Hi,
I have searched this news group for ways to pass data between two vb.net
application, there are a few come up, can anyone list the pros and cons or
the best solution, I am using 2003 but I don't want to use database for the
two applications to exchange info. So far, I have seen Windows Message,
Hooks, SystemWide variable DLL. The two applications can be run in XP and
XP embedded. Which one of these methods requires the least system
resources?
Thanks in advance. 0 787 This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

I have a .net client/server application using remoting, and I cannot get the
custom exception class to pass from the server to the client. The custom
exception is derived from ApplicationException and is defined in an assembly
common to the client and server components. The custom class merely defines
three (3) constructors -- the null constructor; one with a string parameter;
and one with a string and innner exception parameter -- that...

hi,
I'm having a problem with spacing betw. paragraphs, whether use <br>'s
or <p>'s.. FF inserts so much more space betw. paragraphs than IE does
<br><brshows up differently in FF from how it shows up in IE.. I know
it's better practice to use <pinstead of <br>'s, but FF inserts space
ABOVE paragraph when you use <p>...
any comments about this would be appreciated.. thank you..

I am a beginner with AJAX, and have managed to learn how to use it when
passing single parameters, but I want to return more than one value to the
client-side JavaScript function that displays it. My client-side JavaScript
function takes 4 parameters (which are expected to be integers). The idea of
passing a single parameter and parsing it on the client has occurred to me,
but since I am sure I am not the only person who has situations that...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
