Resizing a rich text box to eliminate scroll bars

We use non-standard buttons in our app (Ok, Cancel, ...) The MsgBox
uses the standard buttons, which looks inconsistent. I need to make a
MsgBox replacement.

I could use a text box for the message, and simply use the graphics
measurestring method to get the height and width of the strings. I
could calculate the necessary height and width needed for the text box
control.

Since I have to take the time to develop a new form, I'd like to
greatly enhance the appearance of my new form by using a rich text box
instead of a text box control. I can format bold, color strings,
different size fonts, bullets, ...

How do I determine the needed dimensions of the rich text box with
eliminating the horizontal and vertical scroll bars?

Thanks.
Shane

Hi, I'm not sure the best way to do something and I hope someone can help me. I'm developing a web application that a user enters test questions in. I store the questions in a database. When a person takes the test I need to be able to display the questions. I can use a multiline text box but I want the user to see the entire question and not have to use the scroll bars. Any thoughts? -------------------------------- From: Paul Hodgetts ----------------------- Posted by a user from...

hi, my app has two parallel rich text boxes containing the same content in 2 different languages. the lines parallel each other, line #3 in english contains the same content as line #3 in french. i need the two boxes to syncronize, if someone scrolls and clicks on line 23 in the english side, it should scroll to line 23 in the french side, and the same from french to english.

I have a TableLayout that I'm having problems with. I am placing controls in it that have scroll bars. When I put enough of them on the control to make the TableLayout's scroll bars appear the scroll bars for the TableLayout cover up my scroll bars for the child controls. When I resize the form it fixes and the child controls are in the appropriate places. This also occurs when the form is maximized and I restore down.

I am working on an application with a rich text box and I am starting to go crazy. Here’s what I need to do: * Set the width of the text box to the width of the widest string. * Get the height of the text box given a particular width so that all text fits in and there are no vertical or horizontal gaps (i.e. tightest configuration) and no scroll bars. * Get the next narrowest/widest configuration of the text box which has one less or one...

Hi I am making a chat program. When wsk_receiver gets data, it adds it to a new line on rich_history to make a sort of history for the chat. However, when the rich box is filled up even with scroll bars, it doesn't keep following what was last added. How can i make it scroll down when text is added? Thank you.

Does anyone know how to create a Rich Text HTML editor where the text editing area grows vertically as you type? If not a RTE then just a normal ASP.NET Multi-Line Text Box that expands vertically and the user types. My client does not want to see scroll bars as they go past the viewable area ( a strange request I know).

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
