Hi!
I'm using a Strong Name Key to create our assemblies, this key has the Full
Trust security so we can use those "mini tools" from network drives...
I'm trying to use WMI to get access to data in our SMS Server...
Now, when I tried to create my assembly I got this message...
"Unable to emit assembly: Referenced assembly 'interop.WbemSc ripting' does
not have a strong name"
What is the problem?
How can I use WMI as required in the way I need?
Is there another way to get access to this data?

Hi,
AFAIK, if an assembly have a strong name, all assemblies it depends on
should also have it. It seems you can use the technique described in
"How to link to an ActiveX Control from a Strongly Named Assembly"
( http://blogs.msdn.com/shawnfa/archiv...13/352636.aspx) but using
TlbImp instead of AxImp.

I've built an Assembly to wrap around a COM component. However, I need to

Upon trying to do that, I'm trying to give the assembly a strong name, which
fails because the com interop generated assembly it uses doesn't have a
strong name :?
Can I sign the interop assembly with some cmd-prompt tool ? or, is there

Hi Everybody,
I've got this problem when signing this interop. All my project dll's are
signed correctly except for this one where its a com reference.
I've read the KB http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=313666 but after trying
this it still doesnt work. It either says that it cant find the file in my
bin directory.
Any sugguestions anyone? I've also tried to delete the .snk key and recreate
it and then do the suggested instructions...
